REMINDER: Our Emergency Departments are currently experiencing high patient volumes. Wait times will be longer than usual.

Critically ill patients will remain the priority. Patients attending the Emergency Department at CKHA for non-emergency ailments should expect longer wait times than usual.

Please seek care for non-emergency needs in community settings where possible, such as your family physician or local walk-in medical clinic to help alleviate the strain on our Emergency Departments.

In Chatham-Kent, there are several options for walk-in clinic services. Click here for more information: https://www.chatham-kent.ca/livingck/livinginck/healthandwellness/Pages/Walk-in-Clinics.aspx

💕DYK breast screening just got even easier to book?💕

The Ontario Breast Screening Program is now accepting online self-referrals for those 40 to 74 years old, making booking your own screening as simple as filling out a quick form.

Early detection is the most important factor in improving outcomes for breast cancer patients, which is why regular screening is so important.

As Stroke Month draws to a close, make sure that the message lasts beyond June.

Know the signs. Act FAST. And remember—stroke care is a team effort.

This month, we celebrated some of the incredible staff and departments at CKHA who provide life-saving, compassionate stroke care every day. Their work continues year-round, and so should our awareness. 💙

Thank you to everyone who makes a difference.
