Analogy: The Negatives We Keep Reprocessing 📸

“Back in the days of old cameras, film had to be developed. You’d take your roll in for processing, and along with your printed photos, you’d receive the negatives. Those little strips held the memory of each image — not the image itself, but its shadow — a reversal of light and dark.

If you wanted more copies, you’d return with the negative. It would be run through the process again, and just like that, the same image would be reproduced. A duplication. A repeat.

Now think of your thoughts and memories — especially the painful or disempowering ones — as those negatives.

Every time you replay that old story, dwell on that old wound, or retell that narrative of not being enough, you’re bringing the negative back in to be reprocessed. You’re asking the universe to print you another copy of a moment you no longer want to live in.

So the question becomes:
👉🏽 Do you really want to keep bringing that negative back to the lab/universe?
👉🏽 Do you really want to recreate that same picture, that same experience, from the same strip of film that no longer reflects who you are now?

What if it’s time to throw out the old negatives?

What if instead of reproducing the pain, you choose to create something new — something fresh, vivid, and rooted in your growth and transformation?

Your mind is the darkroom.
Your thoughts are the film.
What you choose to develop becomes your reality”.

Lammas is a sacred time of hope, gratitude, sacrifice, abundance, reflection, and transformation. As the Wheel of the Year turns, we arrive at the first harvest—a celebration of the grain, the ripened fruits, and the vegetables now ready to be gathered.

🌾 But this is not only about what grows from the Earth. Our mental, spiritual, and emotional harvests are ready too.

If you set intentions during the deep rest of winter or the early stirrings of spring, now is the time to witness what has taken root and begun to bloom. It’s a powerful moment to anchor into your growth, your lessons, and your becoming.
