Here are some tips to help keep everyone safe in Grey County forests this :
• Hunters should also avoid hunting in areas with active trail use and be aware they may be sharing the forest with other users.
• Be Seen. Wear hunter orange or another bright colour jacket, scarf, or hat, and avoid beige, brown, white, or green clothing. Ensure your pets are on a leash, and have them wear a brightly coloured collar, bandana, vest or sweater.
• Avoid hiking at dusk or dawn, or when visibility might be limited.
• Be heard. Make some noise as you go. Talk, whistle or carry a bell, and let your presence be known.
