We are hiring for a Licensed Optician!

We are looking for a Licensed Optician
who demonstrates great knowledge
in frame selecting in accordance with understanding how to select the best lens design based on patients prescription and visual needs to best suit their individual lifestyles.

Chelmsford Eyecare supports our professionals by paying for our full-time Licensed Opticians’ annual professional fees and provide continuing education training throughout the year.

* The ideal candidate must be capable to perform the following tasks with great knowledge and professionalism;

Duties include:
-Educating consumers on available vision correction options.
-Selling products with enthusiasm and passion.
-Fitting and dispensing eyewear. (Taking corresponding heights and PDs)
-General Lensometry.
-Eyewear adjustments and repairs.
-Contact Lens Fitting and insertion/removal training.
-Invoicing, collecting payment and submitting direct billing insurance claims.
-Contributing to a positive team environment. Leaving outside drama at home.
-Ordering lenses online, by phone or by fax for corresponding work orders
-Contacting patients when their glasses or lenses are ready
-Booking appointments for patients to pick up new or warranty glasses, along with booking cut and edge appointments to have their lenses cut at our in house lab.
-Helping out patients with empathy if they come back to the office with trouble adapting to their new eyewear.
-Inspecting glasses to see if they are under warranty if a patient comes back with a defective product.
-Scanning invoices received into the computer and organizing them accordingly back on company.
-Sending back warranty frames and lenses for credit.
-Being capable to work alone and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 35-38 hrs per week
