Why specific feedback matters in Apraxia therapy.
I was called out today. It turns out I say “so close!” a lot during therapy. Finally one little guy said “But HOW close?! I don’t know how to fix close!!”
Oops. Kids need specific feedback. What exactly did they miss? What exactly do they need to change? They need this, and they want it!

Apraxia therapy is so much more fun (and often effective) when kids get to be involved in choosing their own targets. She walked in to the room and said “I know what to practice today. I want to tell my friends about the Apraxia walk.” So that’s exactly what we did.
