💔 It’s our 10 year Sadiversary 💔.

There will be no cake.
No balloons.
No celebration.

I will light a candle for you.
I will spend the day thinking about you, but that’s nothing new (I always have you on my mind); and I will be sad. Sad because this world isn’t the same without you and sad because your loss has left me alone.

But it’s not about me today; It’s about remembering you and what you mean to me and what you meant to everyone who ever knew you.

Maybe when I look up at the stars tonight, you’ll be looking too.

You are missed.

For 14 ½ years, my little Beej brought joy and love to my life every single day — my sweetest soul, my happiest hello, and my very best fur-friend.

Today, I sent my sweet Beej home.
He is now free from pain and back with his best buddy Charlie, frolicking in the beautiful meadow beyond the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈

Over the past few days, Beej and I made some final memories. We had a picnic, walked by the lake, played in the backyard, and spent time with loved ones. We indulged in cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, cupcakes, ice cream, and more cookies than we could count — savoring every moment of love, treats, and tail wags, and living his very best life, right to the very end.

Though my heart is heavy with sorrow and I wish we never had to say goodbye, I feel so lucky for every moment I had with him. I hope he felt as deeply loved by me as I did by him.

Run free, my sweet boy.
You and Charlie will forever be in my heart.
