As mammals we humans keep ourselves protected through being constantly alert. Listening and watching for danger are natural and innate, but sometimes those senses need a break so that the Nervous System can calm. The pic below shows the two points on the back of your head related to the cranial nerves for the eyes and ears. Through holding those spaces we can turn them down for a little while...but be careful, people often fall asleep!

I am experimenting with new smoothie recipes that start my day well and after finding Blackberries from Mexico at the store they had to be part of the creation.
A recipe from Eating Well: Combine 1 cup blackberries, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice & 1 teaspoon ginger in a blender. Cover &process until smooth. Serve immediately.
(not a fan of ginger I skipped that ingredient & cut the honey & lemon juice in half)

May is . MS Canada shares that Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis (MS) in the world, with an estimated 90,000 Canadians living with the disease.

MS is a neurological disease of the central nervous system which includes the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. MS attacks myelin, the protective covering of the nerves, causing inflammation and often damage.

Holistic health care has been found to enhance overall quality of life and complement medications or therapies for those with MS. Reflexology was found to reduce fatigue, pain, muscle spasms, and stiffness in a 2024 study. (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10930811/)

The best part of months like May is starting my day sitting outside. This was this mornings view! Do you have rituals that you begin your day with?
I've found it really makes a difference to start with a little peaceful time and space to enjoy my morning coffee (yes, I admit it, I can't/won't go without my morning coffee!!).
If inside I sit where I can watch the day begin outside, but in the warmer weather I am blessed with a beautiful garden to enjoy views like the pic. This is the time when I create my intentions for the day. How do your days start?
