Self reflection post: I am looking at life like looking at a mirror.. When you smile at your life, it will smile back at you. ❣️

It can be funny looking back at certain accomplishments. It is such a relief to have them done. In hindsight, things seem so clear, but while you're in the midst of your work, the end can seem so far into the distance; it can be easy to get discouraged. Once we've achieved our goal, we can look back at our knowing selves and say, "I can't believe I almost gave up at that point, when I have come so far!"

We were in the middle of moving and also dealing with PTSD from 2 police raids all while still maintaining our regular schedule - I'm happy we kept going. We worked hard and made it out of there! 2 traumatic moves later, we are still settling into our new place.
The healing journey continues..

Healing has taught me that honesty wouldn't ruin a real thing.
Speaking on your feelings won't lose you anything that's worth having.
Boundaries won't scare off proper people,
& authenticity won't cost you genuine relationships.

Remember that the next time you feel like sh*t when someone pulls away from you for respecting yourself, sharing your thoughts and feelings, enforcing a boundary, and/or holding them accountable. ❤️‍🔥

We each face a different set of experiences, and this is what makes our life uniquely ours. What an amazing thing to ponder..

Each experience we face makes us stronger and more prepared for the next experience. This is true even when at first an experience appears to be a negative one, whether it is a relatively small negative experience such as the frustration of getting lost on the way to our destination or a large negative experience, such as loss and grief.
We face each experience with the strength and wisdom we have achieved through other past experiences. Each experience moves us forward and fills out the little spaces that need to be filled out.
And then, just like that, we become who we are meant to be. ✅️

⚠️ Warning: If you hang around me too long, you will start believing that you, too, can achieve anything you ever dreamed of!

You can't be around people who think your growth is competition to them. Protect your vision. Surround yourself with people who see your growth as inspiration, not as competition.

The wrong company will have you questioning things that you were once certain about. When you are building, whether it's a project, a dream, or a newer and better version of yourself, you must be intentional about who you allow in your space. Without discernment, you could risk consuming someone else's fears, doubts, or their projections. And then before you realize it, you are second-guessing yourself, you are distracted, you fall back into old habits, and you're moving slower and slower towards your original goals. You have to be intentional about who you let in your space. 🌱

If you want your dreams to bear big fruit, you must be patient enough to let the buds grow into fullness, even if it feels like it's taking forever.
