Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

When: September 30th, 2024 10:30 am to 12:00 pm with meal to follow

Where: Abbotsford’s Civic Plaza / Thunderbird Square (32388 Veterans Way)
When: September 30th, 2024 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Hosts: Abbotsford Children’s Theatre, Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service, Abbotsford Police Department, Abbotsford School District, City of Abbotsford, Clearbrook Library (FVRL), Literacy Matters Abbotsford, The Reach Gallery Museum, Tourism Abbotsford, University of the Fraser Valley’s Peace and Reconciliation Centre (PARC)
All ages are welcome to this free indoor/outdoor event, which will feature drumming, art from Robert Bateman Secondary’s Lex̱éywa Art Activism class, Halq’eméylem storytelling, and a performance of Luminous Waters.
Taking time to understand and honour the lives lost is one small way that you can participate.
