Today we raise our hands to Alicia Peters as she finishes her time with Qwi: qwelstóm.
During her time here she has shown so much care and commitment to our communities and our people. Alicia was always thinking about how to bring people together, how to host in a good way, and how to make space where our Elders felt welcomed and honoured.

Her creativity and care showed in many ways, even in the flyers she designed to share our work with the community. She also supported the IJPs by holding a seat on the executive for over five years, giving her time, energy, and heart to this work.

Alicia has done so much good work alongside us. While we will miss seeing her here every day, we are grateful she is just over at Building 5. We know she will continue to do good work with the people through her new role at FNHA.

Good luck, Alicia. Sending you gratitude and love, and we look forward to hearing about the good work you will continue to do.

“Healing is not the absence of the storm, but the strength to dance in the rain.”

Today we had the honour of wrapping our Pathway to Red Road family with love. 🥰🙌💕✨️💯 The dedication each participant has shown will help lead the way and create change for generations to come.

We also honoured the men who completed the 10-week Qwí:qwelstóm Men’s Respectful Relationships Program at Stó:lō. Today, they earned their blankets and headbands — a powerful reflection of their commitment and growth. ❤️🙌🦅

We will be running another group in May 13 weeks!
