Winter skin truth: It’s not that your moisturizer stopped working — it’s that winter changed the rules

Moisturizers prevent water loss by using occlusives and emollients to seal the skin and reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL). While essential, they don’t technically create hydration on their own.
