Ah screen time, we need to be aware we are all addicted to some degree! Most people struggle to manage a balance between work and play and technology often makes that even more difficult. Our devices are designed to keep our attention and give our brains the dose of one of our ‘happy’ chemicals, dopamine. Dopamine is the reward hormone and our brain loves it! Although it is hard to not give in to the scrolling and ease of accessing more dopamine, this month we will be focussing on the importance of limiting screen time as much as possible so that we can avoid the unhelpful impacts on our brains and mood.
