Transport Canada wants to learn how headlight glare affects road users and what vehicle or lighting features may influence how people experience it at night.

Here is an article about the brightness of headlights. I hear this every day from my patients young and old! The new ones are too bright and shine right in the oncoming driver's eyes. Sounds like Transport Canada is going to review it and hopefully (someday) make some regulations.

Modern headlights are brighter than ever, but the glare experienced by other drivers has never been worse and experts says regulations need to catch up.

Here's an article reminding parents to send their kids outside to prevent them becoming near-sighted. It doesn't have to be in the direct sunshine, shade or cloudy days are just as good.

We are open again with special precautions for COVID-19! We are allowing extra time between patients to disinfect all surfaces, and to avoid anyone sitting in the waiting room. Also we are asking that anyone who is feeling unwell or having any respiratory symptoms to not come into the clinic. We are fortunate that there is parking just outside the door, so patients can wait in their cars until their appointment time. Patients and staff will be provided with a mask to wear. Be reassured we are doing everything we can to limit the spread of COVID-19. I am working Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons for now but that may change in the future.
