Hearing loss among younger adults is increasing due to lifestyle factors like prolonged headphone use and exposure to loud environments. If you’re listening to audio at high volumes for extended periods it damages the tiny hair cells in your inner ear, leading to gradual hearing loss.

The 60/60 rule is an effective way to protect your hearing: keep volume levels at 60% and limit listening to 60 minutes at a time.

By taking preventive measures like protecting your ears from loud environments and monitoring your hearing annually will help you maintain long-term hearing health.
