Meet Jorja!

Jorja joined our front desk team last week! She is passionate about serving others and finding ways to make people’s lives a little easier whenever she can. Creating a welcoming, positive experience for everyone who comes into the clinic is incredibly important to her, and she brings warmth and enthusiasm to every first interaction at the front desk.

She enjoys helping clients get where they need to be, answering questions, and keeping things running smoothly. Building meaningful connections and making people feel supported is one of her favourite parts of the job.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, going for walks, hitting the gym, and doing a little shopping.

We’re so excited to have her on the team! She’ll be working from both our clinics - make sure to say hi when you see her!

OT sessions are a great opportunity to practice flexibility in low stress situations. In this video we are playing a familiar game but adding a new twist that requires some adaptability. The client was asked to build a marble run but this time with their eyes closed, and had to rely on another person to explain where the pieces were and how to put them together.

This client is working on building their flexible thinking skills including the ability to adapt to unexpected changes, willingness to consider multiple perspectives and comfort with trying new strategies or ideas!

You Can Take the OT Out of the Clinic, But You Can’t Take the OT Out of the Person

Occupational Therapy is more than just a profession—it’s a way of seeing the world through a lens of possibility, adaptability, and empowerment. At its core, OT is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to live a meaningful life, in whatever way that looks for them. And often, that mindset reaches far beyond the clinic walls—just like it has for us, Katrina (an OT) and Haley (cousin, friend, and all-around powerhouse).

Hi all!

We’re Haley and Katrina, and in honor of OT Month, we wanted to share a piece of our journey together.

Over the years, we’ve been working side by side to make sure Haley stays connected to the activities that bring her joy—even as her functional mobility has changed. We’ve reimagined the kitchen setup to support Haley’s love of baking (check out the wedding cake and cupcakes she made 👀🧁), explored adaptive tools for everyday tasks like dressing, showering, and transfers, and navigated the process of accessing a specialized driver rehab program. With hand controls now installed, Haley is driving independently again—huge win!

We’re constantly bouncing ideas around to find the best community resources and supports in Haley’s area, always guided by the belief that possibility > limitation.

A big part of our process has been about self-advocacy—learning how to ask the right questions and uncover options that might not be obvious at first glance. That mindset has opened doors to some incredible experiences, from zip lining and adaptive mountain biking to sit-skiing, rock climbing, and yes—even using that iconic wheelchair lift at Disneyland 🏰🎢

We can’t wait to see where our brainstorming takes us next… maybe the Moon? 🌙🚀

Actually, it’s Haley’s Wedding, which is arguably just as special.

We’re thrilled to welcome Jessica, a Registered Clinical Counsellor, to our team! Jessica brings over a decade of experience supporting youth and adults through trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, burnout, and major life transitions.

With a Master’s degree in Counselling from City University of Seattle, Jessica offers a collaborative, body-based, and experiential approach to therapy. She draws from a rich toolkit including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, ACT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, AEDP, and more—helping clients deepen self-awareness, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with their inner strengths.

Jessica describes herself as an active and engaged therapist who sees therapy as a shared process of discovery. She creates a space that is calm, relational, and grounded in curiosity—supporting clients as they untangle patterns and move toward lives that feel more aligned and fulfilling.

Outside the therapy room, Jessica recharges through creativity, movement, and time in nature. She enjoys music, playing piano, yoga, hiking, and mixed-media art—practices that keep her present and inspired.

We’re so excited to have Jessica on board and can’t wait for you to meet her!

Meet Shae!!💚

Shae is graduated with her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Manitoba. She is passionate about connecting with people, learning their unique stories, and supporting the whole person as they work together toward meaningful goals. With a strong commitment to lifelong learning, Shae is always seeking new knowledge, perspectives, and skills to enhance her practice.

In her work, you can expect collaborative, person-centered care, a focus on empowerment and advocacy, and a dedication to supporting emotional regulation. Shae values building strong connections with children and families and brings a friendly, approachable presence to every interaction.

Outside of the clinic, Shae enjoys curling, hiking, paddle boarding, working out, and trying new activities. She also loves entertaining her cat Loki, making sushi, and is on the quest to find the best matcha latte in town.

Meet Karen!!💚🌱

Karen completed her program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Her interest in fitness, health and well-being is what inspired her to pursue a career in Massage Therapy. She finds it very rewarding to listen to patients’ concerns and frustrations, then work collaboratively to set meaningful goals and create personalized treatments that promote comfort, relief, and recovery.

With a compassionate and empathetic approach, she adapts each treatment to patient preferences, whether addressing stress, overuse, injuries, post-surgical recovery, postural misalignments, or chronic conditions. Her techniques include deep tissue, trigger point, therapeutic, and relaxation massage.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys gardening, hiking, yoga, working out, baking, traveling, and spending time with family, grandchildren, and friends. Always up for a challenge, she is a true team player who values helping others and doing her share with warmth and compassion.

We’re so excited to have Camille back with us! 💛

Known for her deep empathy and passion for helping others heal, Camille is especially skilled in relieving headaches, migraines, and neck tension. Her goal is to reduce pain, support your healing journey, and create a safe, welcoming space for every client.
When she’s not helping others feel their best, Camille enjoys training her dog, playing fast-pitch softball, and spending quality time outdoors with her husband and two beautiful girls—whether it’s hiking, camping, fishing, or gardening.

We’re lucky to have her energy, skill, and heart back in the clinic!

She will be working from our Garrison location on Thursdays/Fridays starting Sept 4th! Her bookings are now open - give us a call to book yourself in!💚
