Lise McAlpine RPN

Lise is Registered Psychiatric Nurse with 30 years experience, who has worked in Community Adult Mental Health for over 18 years. She has worked with clients both individually and as a group facilitator. She has been trained in and facilitated Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Building Resilience, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Anxiety groups.

Lise was introduced to Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) in 2013 after hearing Kristen Neff speak at a conference in Seattle. Kristen’s message resonated and following the conference Lise set out on her own journey towards building self-compassion. She attended the intensive 6 day training in 2014 at Joshua Tree, California with the creators of MSC; Kristen Neff and Christopher Germer. Lise found the work resonated deeply on a personal and professional level. She then trained as a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher in 2015 with 8 international teacher trainers from the Centre for Mindful Self-Compassion which included Chris Germer, Michelle Becker, and 6 other international Teacher trainers.

Lise is passionate about teaching self-compassion and excited about being able to offer the MSC training in the Fraservalley and looking forward to building individual and community capacity for self-compassion.
