Many of you may already know that King's Haven 50+ Community has changed management over the past year. As part of that transition, we were forced to make some tough but necessary changes — one of those being the elimination of the apartment waitlist. Unfortunately, the waitlist had proven to be ineffective, extremely time consuming to manage, and often inaccurate.

Apartments are now advertised as they become available, and applications are reviewed from those who apply at that time. Due to the high demand for housing, each vacancy receives a very large number of inquiries and applications. While we understand that the current rental market is frustrating; disrespectful messages, aggression, or sarcastic remarks toward staff will not be tolerated. This type of behaviour will not improve — and may negatively impact — your chances of being approved for an apartment.

We appreciate the patience and respect shown by the many applicants who communicate professionally while we work through the high demand for housing.

We lost our namesake this week and we are all devastated. This is the man who worked day and night to give clarenville area seniors an affordable place to gather and call home.
He was relentless and focused. His vision was a 1000 unit community with all the amenities….as it was he accomplished a small miracle in 2.5 years. We pay tribute to him today and we will everyday for the good he did.

Kings Haven has available in April of 2023 two apartments which will be fully wheelchair accessible.
The apartment is 830 feet and will be in our apartment building currently under construction.
This building is all on one level.
