Before vision therapy Rebecca could not see objects in 3D and says objects appeared like a “half inflated balloon” and her eyes weren’t working together.

Now that she has depth perception, this is how Rebecca describes seeing in 3D:
“It’s more of a sense rather than vision. Objects take up space that they didn’t before, kind of like a balloon takes up more space when you blow it up.

When the air turns hazy, your eyes and lungs feel it first. Here are 5 tips to protect against poor air quality and wildfire smoke
1. Check your local Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) to assess risks and follow health recommendations.
2. Stay indoors when the air quality is poor. Keep doors and windows closed, run your A/C or HVAC in recirculate mode, and use a high quality filter.
3. If you must go outside, shield your eyes and lungs. Wear sunglasses or protective eyewear—and mask up with an N95 respirator.
4. Resist rubbing your eyes. Smoke and pollutants irritate, and rubbing only worsens discomfort. Instead, wash your face and eyelids gently.
5. Keep contact lens hygiene top of mind. Particles can get trapped beneath lenses, so discontinue use if discomfort arises.

When in doubt, reach out to your optometrist. Regular eye exams are essential for maintaining eye health, especially during smoky conditions.
