Happy Nurses Week!
We continue this week with a special announcement!
Congratulations to the 2026 Blanche Hall Bursary Recipients!
Blanche Hall was a founding board member of the Claresholm & District Health Foundation; known for her work in the community and a member of the Auxiliary to the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre.
The Blanche Hall Memorial Bursary was established, by the foundation, in order to assist Alberta Health Services staff in Claresholm advance their educational preparation in health-related disciplines and to secure staff for future positions in health services. Each year, in April, local AHS employees are encouraged to apply by writing a letter to their facility mangers, who will then recommend an appropriate candidate(s) to the Claresholm & District Health Foundation. The letter would include a brief overview of why the applicant wishes to take the course, course content, objectives, start and end date of the course and cost.
Jolene Kohut – Enrolled with Alberta Educational Center working toward her MOA Diploma and is currently working in Diagnostic Imaging at the Claresholm General Hospital.
Mellissa Bremner – Enrolled in the Practical Nursing Program and is currently working as a Mental Health Aide at the Claresholm Centre for Mental Health and Addictions.
Taylor Quantz – Enrolled in the bridging program transitioning from Licensed Practical Nursing to Registered Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, focusing on Professional Practice and Adult Health Alterations and is currently working at the Claresholm General Hospital.
