Comfortable marine specimens and a satisfied client
This project was part of a facility renovation; our mandate was to replace an existing installation of marine holding trays; the old system though functional was showing its age and required a replacement and modernization.
We worked with the facility personnel to design and fit this system within its specified location; it consists of two parts; the habitat structure and tanks are located within the zoology lab with the filtration and life support equipment within an adjacent prep room. Spatial constrains, through the wall plumbing and availability of required services had to be coordinated between both parties as the installation was done by the facility personnel. Proper planning, coordination and communication made it all work and allowed us to bring this to completion to the clients’ full satisfaction as the following testimonial demonstrates.
“Christopher, thank you to you and your team for making this new system possible for us and bringing life back into our zoology lab. I've never taken on a project like this, and I've learned so much along the way thanks to your ongoing support and patience. Developing this system in conjunction with a renovation was convenient in some ways but did come with its share of delays and complications. I truly appreciate your understanding and helpful communication throughout this process.
We’ve never had a marine system this advanced in our biology department, it will be used daily going forward and will be a great resource for both teaching labs and expanding our research capabilities. Not to mention a relaxing water feature and a peaceful spot for staff and students to take a break from their stress and observe and appreciate some wonderful little critters.
You and your team did some excellent work in designing this for us and I’m very grateful we found such a reliable, knowledgeable company for such a niche project.”
