From plant to liquid, the journey of an essential oil is a story of patience and respect for nature. 🌿
The plant is harvested at the height of its vitality — when the sun’s warmth coaxes it to release its richest, most potent oils. This is nature’s fragrant armor, a gift born from resilience against time, weather, and predators.
Once gathered, fresh botanicals are placed into a still for steam distillation. As steam rises through the plants, it carries their purest essence, cooling into two treasures: aromatic floral water, known as hydrosol, and the concentrated essence we call essential oil. ✨
Here on the farm, our copper alembic still yields more hydrosol than oil — a reminder that every drop is precious. That’s why all of our hydrosols are farm-grown, while our essential oils are sourced with the same integrity, focusing on organic, and produced with care.
Distillation is both science and ritual 🌱💧
