Cedars at Cobble Hill is a residential addiction treatment center on Vancouver Island offering the serenity, hope and healing you need to embark on your journey of recovery. Situated on over 65 acres of property with several kilometers of trails our facility takes advantage of the natural beauty of British Columbia's west coast. This environment provides patients with both privacy and a natural therapeutic setting. Our Vancouver Island rehab primarily treats alcohol, drugs and eating disorders as well as gambling and other addictions. Our Physicians, certified in addiction medicine, work individually with patients to formulate achievable goals supported by their expertise. Cedars can also provide psychiatric diagnoses and work with co-occurring disorders. Treatment plans are individualized to best fit the needs and goals of each patient. Cedars has a talented and dynamic group of individuals consisting of some of the best professionals in the field of addiction. Our team of licensed counselors, addiction medicine physicians, nurses and support staff all play an equal part in supporting our clients and their recovery. September is Recovery Month in Canada and if you know us - you know that we love a reason to celebrate. This month we celebrate the immense amount of courage of everyone who chooses recovery, champions recovery, and creates spaces where recovery can flourish. Our hearts are full of gratitude for each and every one of you.

"Cedars welcomed me with open arms at a time when I felt completely lost. From day one, I felt safe, supported, and seen. My counsellor match couldn’t have been more perfect - I was given the space to open up, and just the right amount of push to actually get there. That balance changed everything for me.

Since attending Cedars (March 13 to May 27), my life has completely transformed. I moved into a second-stage recovery house thinking I’d stay for 3 months - I stayed for 9. I started school (almost finished now), got my license back, and work full-time as a superintendent of a roofing company. I sponsor others, take part in step groups, and live my recovery every single day.

None of this would have been possible without the guidance, care, and compassion of the staff at Cedars. Most importantly, I found something in myself there that I don’t think I ever had before: love. For myself, for my life, and for the journey I’m on. I’ll be forever grateful."

Addiction is not a final destination. It is the rising action that climaxes with recovery. Through this storm (if willing) we are able to see ourselves through a lens of humility. The storm, becomes the calm as we move to acceptance and begin the journey of recovery. Together, we find connection, recovery and healing – while not easy, we can promise it will all be worth it.
