Did you know you can get a cardio workout without using your legs?

No jumping. No running required.

A lot of people think cardio means running...but cardio is anything that gets your heart rate up! Even if you have a knee injury, are recovering from knee surgery, or sprained an ankle, you can still train your heart safely.

Follow along with this upper-body cardio circuit, alternating between arms and abs:

⏱ 30 seconds work
⏸ 10 seconds rest
🔁 Repeat the circuit 3 times

You can customize this circuit to your body and goals. Swap in any exercises that work for you:

ABS:
• Sit-ups
• Dead bugs
• Leg raises
• Russian twists

ARMS:
• Push-ups
• Bicep curls
• Shoulder press
• Tricep push

We have been in business for many many years, locally known as South Cowichan Physiotherapy or SC Physio as some folks liked to call us. Recently we made a name change to one that better represented our mandate to serve our clients. On December 4th 2017 we opened our second location in Duncan BC on Coronation Ave. Now we have two locations to assist in the optimization of your health.
