“&” not everyone has the privilege to find a Viking in their lives. We certainly have in Oliver. It is phenomenal how this larger than life crusader makes a mark on almost everyone he comes to know.

Happy Birthday ‘Oli’, there should be some smoked salmon and cream cheese on a burnt toasted bagel with your name on it – or at least some chocolate.

“&” Happy New Year to one and all. Hopefully, 2021 will start to unwind some of the pain that has entered into our lives last year. To get things off to a great start, the community participated in the project. Some of you will know that Oliver has a fascination with Vikings to the point that we can all see him as one. His Latvian heritage aside, he is very protective of his tribe and consequently, his tribe has risen to shield him from misery.

The shield project is more than creating a shield (which you are most welcome to do—never too late), it is a way to share stories with our friend Oliver. He will tell you—“I'm not dying of this disease, I'm dying of boredom”. So please submit your story, your poem, your ode here, on this page. Start a conversation with Oliver (he has particular difficulty responding quickly), but he reads.
