Warrior poses ignite the whole body: from blood circulation and respiration to stretching and strengthening shoulders, back, hamstrings, and ankles, to developing inner confidence. These poses promote focus, balance and stability. Warrior poses call on our inner warriors, fully engaging our muscular power.

Mastering this pose, as well as any pose, requires focus on using the breath to ground and connect to each muscle, creating the balance necessary for stability and ease of motion.

Souful Selfcare Sunday

Everyone's selfcare is different. Sometimes selfcare is a combination of things. Sometimes we get caught in our busy schedules and unplanned life happenings that we neglect our soulful selfcare. It is important to set time, if not each day, each week to recharge ourselves fully.
For me, the ultimate Soulful Selfcare is an early morning walk and outdoor yoga with one of my mastiffs. It started as a once a week practice that easily grew into a daily routine.

We end the cycle by embracing what we feel

We are pushed to control our emotions so much that we misguideddly avoid tough emotions to fake wellness. In this, we do not overcome the heartache, we bleed it out into every facet of our lives until it consumes us.

You are not your trauma.
You are not what you have been through.
You are not what they have done to you.

You are your growth.
You are the survivor that breathes now.
You are who you want to become.
