FREE EXCLUSIVE SCREENING! Please share with anyone who may benefit from this awesome documentary!

BEFORE THE PAUSE reveals the hidden reality of perimenopause through the voices of women whose lives are disrupted and dismissed. A teacher is told her symptoms are “all in her head” even as she struggles at home and in the classroom. A firefighter navigates heavy periods with no women’s bathroom in sight. Even physicians acknowledge the gaps in their own training. By centering these stories alongside leading experts, the film exposes a systemic blind spot and makes a powerful case for why early awareness can transform women’s health, careers, and sense of self. Produced by Women in the Room Productions and Take Flight Productions.
Screening at Venture 13 on March 26th at 6:30pm.
A discussion panel will follow the film, featuring:
• Erin Donnelly, RSW
• Dr. Kristi Graham, ND, IBCLC, MSCP
• Dr. Susan Joyce, ND
• Dr. Meagan McLaren, MSc, ND, MSCP

If you have ever needed a sign that therapy may be for you! 😉

I am not sure if this means that I have "made it", but it certainly feels like I am making progress in my practice! I have a sign!!

I feel so happy to be in such good company and have tried to make my space reflect the person that I am and hope that will be as comfortable and safe as possible for my clients.

If you ever feel like reaching out, I am always happy to chat!

You don’t need a breakdown to justify support.
You’re allowed to want more than survival.

Women are often taught to swallow anger, push through overwhelm, and call it strength.
But anger is information.
Overwhelm is a signal.
Isolation is heavy.
You don’t need to wait until you break.

Now accepting new clients.

“What is the bravest thing you’ve ever said?” asked the boy.
“Help,” said the horse.
“Asking for help isn’t giving up,” said the horse.
“It’s refusing to give up.”

So many of us were taught that strength means coping quietly.
Holding it together.
Not needing too much.

But real courage often looks like naming the truth out loud:
I’m overwhelmed.
I can’t do this alone.
I need support.

Asking for help doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
It means you’re listening to yourself.
It means you’re choosing care over collapse, connection over isolation, and hope over silence.

If you’ve been carrying more than your share, this is your reminder:
You don’t have to be brave by yourself.

I recognize I am in desperate need for new pics that capture the vibe of myself and my practice, but in the meantime I am going to put this whimsical caricature of myself instead. 😊
In my practice I try and create a supportive, welcoming space. I sincerely care about the women (and men) who trust me with their struggles. Mental health, continous education, women focused issues and providing a safe space for people to be seen and heard are my focus.
Hopefully soon I will have a real professional photoshoot, change my profile pic from a selfie to an updated photo. I will eventually get around to updating my online presence, but in the meantime, this pic kinda captures a large portion of who I am.

I love my job and I feel my work is such a special opportunity to hold space for the people who come into my practice. I am truly grateful to be on this journey. 🩷

Hygge, a Danish tradition of warmth through winter, shapes my therapy space. My therapy space is intentionally cozy. I use soft lighting, blankets, and a calm presence. I aim to offer safety and comfort when the world outside feels harsh or overwhelming. A place to thaw, settle, and be met with care.

Therapy doesn't have to feel clinical, or cold.

I get asked alot "How do I set boundaries as a new mom?" The answer is not straightforward.

If setting boundaries as a new mom feels heavier than people admit, you’re not imagining it.

This season asks you to protect your baby while still caring about relationships, family history, and the roles you’ve carried for years.

It can feel relieving to finally speak up, but also painful to watch dynamics shift in ways you didn’t hope for.

There can be love and grief.

Relief and loss.

Clarity and discomfort.

If this feels complicated, it’s because it is.

You’re navigating healing, attachment, loyalty, and change all at once.

You’re not too sensitive.

You’re not doing it wrong.

You’re doing something deeply human and it takes practice.

The holidays and busy seasons can leave couples feeling a little off. You can feel tired, disconnected, or just out of rhythm.

Checking in with each other, even in small ways, can make a big difference: noticing what felt heavy, when you felt close, and what you might need from each other.

Sometimes these conversations are easier with a little support. Couples therapy isn’t only for big problems, it’s a space to feel heard, understand each other better, and reconnect before tension builds up.

Even small moments of care and curiosity can help your relationship feel like a team again.

If you feel ready to reconnect, you can book a session with me today. I can provide a safe space to pause, listen, and strengthen your connection.

On this New Year’s Eve, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for showing up, even when it was hard. For being honest. For letting yourself feel things you’ve been carrying for a long time.

Thank you for trusting me with your stories — and for sharing your babies with me. That kind of trust isn’t something I take lightly. Being invited into those messy, tender, real moments is truly an honour.

The work you’re doing for yourself matters more than you might realize. As you heal, it shows up in how you parent, how you partner, how you care for yourself, and how you move through the world. The ripples are real, even when no one else sees them.

As this year comes to a close, I want you to know how much I respect the courage it took to do this work. I’m so grateful to walk alongside you in this season.

Thank you for trusting me. 🤍

A gentle reminder: you’re allowed to care for yourself over the holidays.
Slow down, say no, take a breath, choose what supports your well-being.
Rest is not selfish—it’s how you stay grounded in a season that asks a lot of you.
