Autism looks different for every child, and the idea of a spectrum/colour wheel can be a useful shortcut for parents and carers, reinforcing the breadth and depth of strengths and challenges.

Whether children have a diagnosis or not, every parent and carer deserves access to evidence-based support.

Dealing with tantrums can be exhausting, especially when it’s time to turn off screens.

Going from big fun to zero in an instant is tough for young children who are still learning how to manage big emotions.

But there are proactive and practical things we can do. You could make screen time predictable, use visual timers, and don't forget the importance of role-modelling.

When you show kids how you stay calm and handle your own frustrations, you're helping them to manage their feelings, too.

In our latest article, we share tips like these to help kids switch off with less stress: https://www.triplep-parenting.net.au/au/articles-and-news/post/pressing-pause-on-tech-tantrums/
