A reminder that, as of February 1, 2019, I will not be holding clinic hours at Nurturing Health, as I take some time off to welcome a baby into my family. Exciting things are happening at Nurturing Health Naturopathic Clinic this year!

We are thrilled to be welcoming Margarida Medeiros, BSW, RSW to our team as Carolyn Higginson, MSW, RSW begins her maternity leave in February!

Margarida Medeiros, BSW, RSW is a Registered Social Worker who has provided mental health
treatment in the community for the last 18 years. She is passionate about supporting people on
their journey to their best self through mind/body approaches. Her core value is to create a
therapeutic relationship that feels safe and supportive, and that leads to people’s increased well
being and the skills to reach their goals. She is pleased to provide individual therapy to adults
18 and over, and couples seeking support.

She practices from a holistic perspective to address areas of mental health that are out of
balance. She is skilled in evidence based modalities that provide people with the tools to lead
more enriched and mindful lives: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour
Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness. She also takes a trauma informed
approach to therapy for people who have experienced adverse experiences in their lives. A
collaborative assessment will guide her in addressing each person’s unique needs, while
highlighting areas of strength that each individual possesses that can often remain untapped.

Margarida will be seeing clients at our clinic starting February 5, 2019 on Tuesdays 5-8pm. Please join us in welcoming her to our Nurturing Health team!
