📣CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: Marilyn came to EARN with the goal of gaining volunteer experience to expand her resume before applying to jobs. In November 2024, she began volunteering once a week at Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank, where she gained valuable skills, while also participating in employability skills workshops to prepare her for paid work. Marilyn's dedication paid off this year with a paid cleaning position at The Whispering Oak. Working there once a week, she very quickly learned that she excelled in this role and fit in perfectly with the team. Marilyn has been working there for three months and has secured ongoing employment. The skills Marilyn acquired through this process have really helped build her confidence and highlighted her strong work ethic. The EARN team is very grateful to be able to share Marilyn's story so far and invite you to join us in congratulating her on her success ❤

The amazing team at Prep Food Company made the last day of camp a memorable one. Chef Sean shared his bread baking expertise and Zach helped us make some delicious sandwiches. And last but not least, a shoutout to Donna for the cookies! This team went above and beyond to create a final day that was truly ✨chef's kiss✨ THANK YOU!

Anglers enjoyed a beautiful day on the water with FishAbility Sports Club: Adaptive Sports for People With Disabilities on Wednesday to close our fishing season. We can't wait to return next summer!

Yes, chef! Camp R Way is in the kitchen this week and it has already had some delicious results. The folks at The Lass & Ladle and Bliss Gluten Free Bakeshop hosted incredible workshops on making quesadillas and cupcakes, and the group also learned about green, yellow, and red foods.

This game continues to be a highlight each summer. Thanks for always bringing the fun with this friendly competition! The CLRN team will be at the ball diamond on Coverdale on Friday morning to close the 2025 season. Stop by to lend some cheers if you're in the neighbourhood.

If you've been here awhile, you know how dedicated these two are to giving back to their community through volunteering. Earlier this month, Matt and Mike dropped off a donation of pop tabs at the Royal Canadian Legion - Cobourg Br. 133. The pop tabs are used to make walker and wheelchair parts.

August Sports Week at Camp R Way brought the fun (and the heat). One of our favourite traditions is joining the CLRN baseball team, and participants enjoyed Zumba, mini putt, ball hockey, and time at the water park. Thanks again to the amazing crew at the Port Hope Panthers for joining us.
