Caregivers, when you’re busy taking care of someone else, it can be hard to think about your own mental health.
You may be battling burnout, grief, guilt, and other challenging emotions in between medical appointments, medication pick ups and other care tasks.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Northumberland Family Health Team and the Caregiver Organization to bring their mental health program, Supporting Caregiver Awareness, Learning and Empowerment (SCALE) Together to caregiver in person this winter.
Starting on Tuesday, February 3, caregivers will get practical information and skills to focus on their mental health and well-being through:
Weekly in-person psychoeducational webinars that acknowledge and unpack difficult caregiving emotions.
In-person group discussions with other caregivers to reflect on the weekly topic.
Workbooks filled with strategies, tools, and resources on how to cope with difficult caregiving emotions.
Access to additional caregiving support through the Ontario Caregiver Organization.
