Holistic Self Care modalities (ie: Relaxation Massage, Sound Healing and Meridian based therapies) are as valid and important to self healing as what they call 'evidence based' therapies such as clinical massage, chiropractic and physiotherapy. These therapies have been around for centuries and have lasted the test of time for good reason 💫

The word 'evidence' gets used a lot to add validity to certain treatment types. What is evidence? In simple terms it's proof that a treatment worked. Do you feel relaxed after a relaxation massage, a facial or a sound bath? Does your stomach growl, making digestive sounds? This is 'evidence' that your system has shifted into the parasympathetic state, the place where self-healing takes place. No pain necessary (pain actually activates a stress response).

Evidence means nothing if your body fights against the work. A 'no pain, no gain' mentality sets in motion a sympathetic nervous system response that directly inhibits your body's innate ability to heal and repair itself.
