Here is your invitation:
In our fast-paced, always-connected world, finding moments of stillness and silence can feel impossible... We may dream of retreating from our responsibilities like going on vacation, or we may actually have to act on the need to retreat from our responsibilities, like taking a stress leave, or perhaps it’s more subtle in the way we find ourselves saying “no” to a lot more things we wish we could say “yes” to so we don’t feel overwhelmed...
Daily maintenance in our self-care is crucial to look for moments we can connect with ourselves, but sometimes we need a little extra help... almost like hitting the reset button... When I know I need to hit that reset button, my go-to is entering into a day of silence.
I used to sign up for the long 10 day or 3 day Vipassana’s (silent retreats) which are super intense, but now, that is just not realistic for me, nor is it how I want to spend extended extra time these days now that I have a growing family... however I do know that I am a better mom, business owner, friend, community member and better SELF when I carve out this sacred time.
Here is what a Silent Retreat at The Yurt looks like...

Here are some of the benefits that I have personally experienced and others have shared about their time in silence... (continued in comments)
