Amidst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, let's take a mindful pause together. Embrace a moment of tranquility with this simple exercise, combining deep breathing and awareness. It's the perfect way to find calm amidst the holidays.

Take a moment for self-care with this quick mindfulness exercise!

Breathe: Inhale fresh air, exhale stress. Close your eyes after five deep breaths.

Check-In: Notice your senses, sounds, smells, tastes, and the weight of your body.

Body Scan: Identify tension, then relax. Note thoughts without judgment.

Back to Breath: Observe each breath. Count silently from 1 to 10. If distracted, gently return focus.

Just Sit: Spend 20-30 seconds, letting your mind be free. No pressure, just be.

Finish: Bring awareness back to the present. Open your eyes slowly.

Set an intention to carry this calm into your day.

Finding the time to nourish your body with wholesome foods can be challenging in our fast-paced days. These bite-sized wonders are incredibly delicious and packed with the energy and nutrients you need to power through your day.

1 cup old-fashioned oats
2/3 cup toasted shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (or sub almond butter)
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or vegan chocolate chips)
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Stir all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl until thoroughly combined.
Cover the mixing bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours or until the mixture is cooled.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
Refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
