Here are 3 simple rituals to captivate your own Living Room Retreat experience:
🍵 The Garden-Sourced Sip: Brew a cup of herbal tea (fresh chamomile, mint or lemon balm from your garden when you can!) and use your favourite mug. Treat your sip as a sacred ceremony in honour of your emotional strength and resilience. No multi-tasking, just the warmth of the cup of tea in your hands.
🌿 The Sanctuary Scent: Bring a piece of the garden inside. A sprig of rosemary or lavender on your coffee table signals safety, calm, and relaxation to your nervous system. Here is the truth, Beauty, your soul never clocks out. It’s the gentle stillness between your breath and action, an always-on authority beyond your to-do lists. The Willpower Trap is a lonely, cold place to be stuck in.

We unconsciously trap ourselves here when we’re convinced that we have to do it all otherwise we’re seen as weak, incapable, or stupid. Or that we’ve got to do it alone because we’ve felt alone our whole life.

And when you run out of energy and feel beaten down by it all, you still force yourself to push through. Your mind is numb. Your body hurts. Your heart heavy.

Your mind cycles through all the reasons why need to push, force, and overextend, in pursuant of something outside yourself.

Yet, the mind only uses what it has as a reference and it won’t convince you to do anything it doesn’t know. After all, it fears the unknown.

Your True Power is the knowledge and awareness you have beyond what your logical mind shares. It’s what you innately know.

It lays with your truth of Self, from the depths of your heart and soul.

True Power is connection and oneness with your inner wise woman, your Higher Self.
It’s found within the intelligence of your cells and the rhythm of your breath.

It’s about anchoring yourself to the best version of who you are, unapologetically, balancing your mind-body and emotions regardless of circumstances.

True Power is permission to let go of what you can’t control and rather be in flow with your Inner Being.

Connecting to that flow isn’t 'giving up', being weak, or having a lack of willpower—it’s stepping into your true authority.

Did you know that your body has mastered the art of communicating? 🕯️✨

It speaks in sensations, impressions, and whispers. Discomfort, stiffness, aches, pains, illness, and even disease.

That tight knot in your stomach, the sudden sting you feel in your eye, or unexpected sharp pain in the back—those aren't just feelings. This is your body’s way of speaking to you, calling for pause.

Often we mistake physical sensations for problems to be solved with willpower and force or discounting it because “that’s just the way it is” kind of thing.

What if that tightness in your chest isn't just stress, but an impression that you’re moving away from your truth?

What if that skin irritation that never goes away is more about about someone or something that irritates you, or you feeling unsafe in your surroundings?

And what if that afternoon sugar craving isn't a lack of discipline at all, but a signal that your soul is hungry and thirsty for pause and your body is needing more balance?

When you realise your body is not the enemy, it becomes your guide, and you, its ally.

This week, take one physical impression and be with it. Don’t judge it. Ask your body what it needs, what it is asking for. Simply listen to what you intuitively pick up on. 🍃✨
