Let’s talk about body image—something so many of us are quietly wrestling with.

This year alone? My body has changed fast…inside and out. Hormones, energy, shape, emotions… it’s been a wild ride. šŸŽ¢

But here’s the thing: I’m still wearing the jeans. The shorts. The bathing suit. The whatever-the-f**k-I-want. šŸ‘–

Because dressing for YOU isn’t about a size or a trend—it’s about what sets your soul on fire. šŸ”„

And yes, I still have days. Days where changes feel like I’m losing a piece of me. But through this, I also feel vital. Not because I’m fighting change (as much as I want to sometimes) but because I’m supporting it:

Took this impromptu to send to my girlfriend to show her what I was up to... and the truth is, a version of me would’ve NEVERRRR shared a photo like this.

For so long, I tried to tweak, filter, adjust, hide… always making it a little more ā€œpalatable for the gram.ā€ But lately? I’m done with that, like f**k that I don’t even care kind of done and wow do I feel FREE.

Because real life, the kind with belly laughs, hormone shifts, vulnerability, deep healing, and wild midlife magic — is so much f**king better than the polished version. (Yes, even as I continue to learn to love the thick thigh life).

Here I am. 44, almost 45. On the eve of launching a podcast (!!) with my magical friend .nutrition

And tbh, I’ve never felt more aligned, more myself, or more proud to just be here — in this body, this season, this moment. (And don’t think that means this also doesn’t feel chaotic and overwhelming AF, these things are not mutually exclusive).

Hair loss was never something I’d personally faced — until now. I’ve supported countless clients through it, but when it happened to me, it still caught me off guard.

Truth time: I was sick from Dec through Jan, and not just the sniffles kind. The crawl-into-a-cocoon-and-disappear kind.

At first, I was frustrated. Then I was scared. But then I remembered… illness isn’t random. It’s sacred. It’s an energetic root system doing major underground upgrades.

Turns out, I wasn’t broken. I was downloading.
I wasn’t falling apart. I was re-wiring.

The most sacred act of rebellion? Eating for your real needs!

Diets are NOT static.
They are not prisons.
They are not labels.
They are not fixed rules carved in stone.

We are women—cyclical, evolving, sacred beings.

Our needs shift with the seasons, the moon, our hormones, our stress, and our soul’s desires.

What nourished us once may no longer serve us now.

And that’s okay.

Changing your diet to meet your current physical and energetic needs is not a failure—it’s a radical act of self-respect.

I’ve been in transition for a while. Adding eggs, fish, and bone broth back into my long-time vegan diet hasn’t been easy. It’s brought up a lot—guilt, resistance, questioning. But it’s also brought clarity, healing, and a deeper connection to what my body truly needs right now.

I’m allowing myself to eat what I once avoided.
I’m shedding the guilt and shame that comes from old stories and rigid rules.
I’m holding space for the emotions that come up—and still choosing to honour my body.

This is not weakness.
This is power.
This is what it means to listen, adapt, and rise. To eat for ME.

Let your diet evolve with you.

Every body is different, and so are our needs. As a Holistic nutritionist, I often feel the pressure to always be on—to never stray from my daily routines that support my health.

But the truth is, that’s just not me and I’m very open and honest about that.

And while some people feel strongly about sticking to their non-negotiables even on vacation, I’m not that person. I allow myself to do exactly what I want, even if it’s the opposite of my norm.

And guess what? Neither way is wrong!!!!!

We are all right when we are doing what’s best for us. And that looks different for everyone.

It’s important to recognize that I’m able to do this because of my unique health journey and needs which differ exponentially from the needs and circumstances of others who may have less flexibility or desire to stray.

I’m not saying I engage in self-destructive habits that compromise my health in the long or short term, but I do give myself permission to fully enjoy my time, in whatever way feels good—while still maintaining my energy and well-being.

This is your reminder that balance doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. So do you—every day, and while away šŸ–¤.

Hi Lovers šŸ–¤

What would life look like if you chose to always put yourself first and become your own soul mate?

Here’s an unpopular truth: You need to put yourself first because nobody else will. Pause and think about that for a moment—whether you’re parent, a sister, a friend, a partner, a business owner… whoever you are.

If you’re constantly running on empty, in fight-or-flight mode, you can’t possibly show up as your best self for those around you. And here’s the twist: making yourself your #1 priority is, in my opinion, one of the most unselfish things you can do, especially if you are navigating perimenopause or menopause where the timing becomes crucial for your health today and tomorrow.

Being your own soul mate doesn’t mean there’s no room for others. In fact, I believe we can have more than one soul mate. For 44 years I’ve been in this body and it’s been my soul mate and that’s a relationship that truly deserves the effort.

So today, spoil your soul mate. YOU. Show up as your true self, unapologetically, and take some time to usher in peace.

Even if it’s just a quiet moment to take a deep breath. That’s a beautiful start for a beautiful human like you.

The Thing About Gratitude….

The amazing thing about gratitude is that the more you have, the more it grows. This year, I’ve learned so much about the transformative power of gratitude—not just in my personal life, but also in how I support my clients.

Did you know that practicing gratitude can literally rewire your brain? Yup! Research shows that gratitude boosts serotonin and dopamine—the ā€œfeel-goodā€ chemicals—helping to reduce stress, improve sleep, and even enhance heart health.

In my practice, gratitude isn’t just a feel-good habit; it’s a powerful tool. I guide clients to incorporate gratitude into their routines, which helps shift their mindset and elevate their overall well-being.
