We are starting to collect donations for our residents over at Villa Minto for their Secret Santa 🎅

We will be accepting donations Friday December 12th, 2025 to give us time to wrap gifts 🎁

This week, we celebrate Nurse Practitioner week and recognize the exceptional care provided by our very own Christiane and all the NPs serving our community.

Nurse Practitioners play a vital role in delivering care throughout our community. From providing expert care to offering comfort and understanding, they make a meaningful difference every day.

According to CIHI, in 2024, the supply of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in Canada was 9,891— a 9.5% increase from 2023! Yukon (5.6), Newfoundland and Labrador (5.3), and Prince Edward Island (4.4) have the highest supply of nurse practitioners per 100,000 population, compared to the national average of 2.4. The demand for nurse practitioners continues to grow, as they deliver comprehensive care across the healthcare continuum and address emerging challenges within the system.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone for Christiane - 25 years of being a Nurse Practitioner! 🎉

Her dedication, compassion, and commitment to providing exceptional care have made a great impact on her patients, colleagues, and our community. She's almost always the first one in the office and the last one to leave. We are so thankful for her!

We had a little celebration for her this afternoon and enjoyed the best fresh cinnamon buns we've ever had!! Thank you to Homemade Breads & Sweets right here in Cochrane!
