ADHD coaching and ADHD therapy often overlap, but they’re not the same thing 💛
Coaching typically focuses on the practical side of things: helping you create systems, stay accountable, and move toward your goals. Think: routines, time management, and getting unstuck in day-to-day life.
But ADHD doesn’t just affect productivity. It often comes with things like anxiety, burnout, shame, rejection sensitivity, or past experiences that shape how you see yourself and what feels possible.
ADHD therapists can support both the practical AND emotional layers to explore the ways these things may be impacting how your ADHD shows up. It doesn’t just focus on what you’re doing, but also what’s getting in the way underneath.
It’s not about one being ‘better’ than the other- it’s about what kind of support you need right now.
✨ If you need structure & accountability → coaching can be a great fit.
✨ If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, or impacted emotionally → therapy may be the better starting point
And for many people, it’s not either/or! Some benefit from both at different points in their journey.
The goal is finding support that actually fits your brain and meets you where you are - not forcing yourself to fit the support.
If you’re resonating with the therapy side of this and are looking for a neuroaffirming space, I’d be happy to connect 🧡
