What are waffletons?! They’re my take on the traditional Newfoundland touton… Fresh homemade bread dough, filled with strawberry jam, cooked in a waffle maker until golden 👌🏼

In the four and a half years since opening the beach hut this is the first week I’ve only had one booking.

I’ll admit it’s making me a little nervous 😬

On a brighter note, I’ll be releasing June and July ☀️ beach hut availability soon for anyone dreaming about a summer spell beside the seaside.

I’m curious to hear from other small businesses… are things feeling quieter right now?

ALL ABOOOOARD… jumping on the rewind trend of a little look back at 2016… vibes are very much the same even though we were landlocked in Calgary… I like what I like 🥰

1) July peonies always bloomed by my birthday… a coworker was splitting very old plants and I had my backyard garden full… I do regret not digging them up and bringing them along with us when we moved lol
2)we visited home in November and of course straight to the sea I went
3)I created the floral Photo Booth for the spring activation event
4)I do miss mainland thrifting… tiny plants in found containers… I have bulbs in my fridge right now to be planted indoors soon haha!
5)I was asked to be the ambassador to speak on the main stage at the Calgary Home and Garden Show
6)saaaaame best friend right there folks… and I chilling out at the stunning making some content for them
7)afternoon tea for life!… this one was at for a event
8)haha this changed… the daily porcelain princess selfies iykyk haha I think a few ogs are still here with me now
9)this one hurts… still. It’s been six months without my soul cat Oliver and I miss him every day

11)my love for rose lemonade runs deeeep… still bummed I don’t have a reliable source for them here on the island
12)back to the ocean on a trip home… shoal cove beach my forever favorite beach on the island
