Celebrating your wins takes you outside of the doing and into reflection. It allows you to sit, sigh and appreciate all that YOU accomplished.

Too often we downplay our successes. Over time we end up really missing out on solidifying just how big some of the things we have done really are.

So celebrate you. Celebrate the small things. Celebrate the big things. Allow yourself to express and embody the joy of what you have accomplished.

Take a few moments to check in with yourself.

How are you doing in this moment? In this day?

Close your eyes. Do a body scan, moving from your toes slowly moving up your body... lower leg, knees, thighs, hips, pelvis, stomach, back, chest, arms, hands neck and head. Did you notice anything.

Take 5 conscious and slow breaths. Notice the air as it enters your nose and goes down into your lungs. Expanding and then releasing.

What did you notice?

Let that information guide you so that you can get what you need from the rest of the day.

Practicing Gratitude is an easy and powerful form of self care.

Shifting perspective on a day that hasn't gone well, to the things that did, can break a funk and help us see another possibility.

Making gratitude a daily practice rewires our brain to pick out the positives, instead of spiralling on the negative. Our words have power... so choosing wisely is a great way to show ourselves compassion and love.

Do you dread your period?

In western culture menstruation is very much seen as a weakness... and that couldn't be further from the truth.

Our bodies give us a beautiful 28 (on average) day flow of energy, focus, sexuality, reflection and intuition. When we honour this cycle and connect to the phase we are in, it can unlock deep healing or massive productivity.

Day 1 begins with our period, and all of those feelings, potential discomfort and cravings are a sign that we need to rest and go inwards. When we push ourselves in the menstrual phase we can experience a type of friction between what we are trying to do and the energy or focus available to us. Pushing in this phase can further deplete us, in a time where stress is at an all time high in the world around us.

So consider tracking your cycle and learning more about it. In the Flo from .vitti or Do Less by are great books. is amazing on all things hormonal and if you're local offers workshops.

Do you grab on the go meals and then eat them while doing other things?

We've lost the art of meal time. Meals used to be more ceremonial and with that came huge health benefits.

Taking the time to savour and connect with every bite is actually incredibly beneficial for your digestive health.

It allows for:
βœ… digestion to start in the mouth by releasing salivary amalyse that starts breaking down food before it reaches your stomach
βœ… aids in the proper absorption of nutrients as larger food particles are broken down and more easily digested by the gut
βœ… allows you to recognize when you are full by slowing down and connecting to the process.

So today, when you are eating make it a conscious experience. Savour the flavours and textures by chewing thoroughly and breathing between bites. You gut will thank you... and you may feel more focused because your brain will be happy too!

Just one?

Yes do ONE thing. Write your to-do list and then pick the one thing that absolutely can not wait... and then focus on that task. Multitasking seems like it's super productive, when in actual fast we actually perform better when we are focused on one task.

When we constantly have multiple things (and loose ends) our mind keeps coming back and kind of auditing everything in the background. This takes up a lot of mental load and doesn't allow for a lot of capacity for other things... which may be how frustration can arise, or feelings of overwhelm.

So for sure make your list... and then look at what is an absolute necessity, and then whittle that down to one thing you want to clear off the list (maybe even forever!)

Boundaries.

The are so important for healthy relationships and yet can be so challenging to create and maintain. Here are some things to consider when exploring your own boundaries.

πŸ’œ Boundaries aren't just about what you don't want, but very much about what you DO want in your life... like knowing you need time for self-care and creating that space for yourself.

πŸ’œ They aren't meant to keep people out, but a way to allow people closer. It allows for true communication of needs that can flow in both directions.

πŸ’œ The can be loving and compassionate. When you are firm in where you boundaries are, it can allow for more empathy for those that may feel hurt. Both people in an emotional state doesn't serve anyone as ego sets in.

πŸ’œ Boundaries need to be set with yourself first. Knowing when you aren't doing what you need to recharge. Doing the right thing for you, makes it easier to incorporate it into other aspects of life.

πŸ’œ We all have them. So explore where you see others honouring their boundaries and see how that shows up for you... your thoughts and emotions. There can be much to learn from exploring these moments.

Self love is a huge part of self care. Often one of our biggest struggles is valuing ourselves, where we've come from, how we've grow, our resilience, times we've made a difference, etc.⁠

Writing your story is a way to unravel and connect with all the things that brought you to where you are today. Yes it isn't all amazing. We go through many challenging times. So start where you are comfortable. Give yourself space and compassion and let the words flow.⁠

This doesn't have to be for anyone but you. So you know you have a story and that it matters. Fall in love with yourself again, because you beautiful soul matter and make the world an amazing place πŸ₯°β

However, the truth is, without putting yourself first you can't really be there for others. You need to recharge yourself, know your boundaries and recognize how you can show up if you're going to be helpful for others.⁠

Walk slowly, in silence and allow your senses to heighten.

There are several ways to meditate and walking is a beautiful one. It can be done anywhere. Our fav is to do so barefoot in the woods but your living room works well too!

All you have to do is
β€’ stand and ground yourself
β€’ soften your gaze or close your eyes if it is safe to do so
β€’ begin to move forward as slow as you possibly can
β€’ notice the movement of your clothes against your skin, the shift of weight from front to back and side to side, the breeze as it caresses your skin, your breath, sounds in the distance ...

Practice for as long as you like πŸ‘£
