Update on the repeal of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture act.

The Ministry of Labour says this is about increasing access for TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practitioners, many of whom are new immigrants and may face language barriers and other issues. These are important issues of discrimination that can be addressed most effectively by the college, through the implementation of multilingual competency exams (such as those in place in BC).

This can be done whilst continuing to uphold standards of care and practice within the profession.

The government has proposed de regulating Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, that is the dissolution of the professional College.

This will put standard of care and practice in great jeopardy.

Please visit change.org, search for ‘stop de regulation of Chinese medicine acupuncture’ & have a read. Add your name to the petition if it resonates with you.

Never imagined back to work quite like this. but here we are.

I know you’re tired
and it’s a whole heck of a lot.
I know how you miss your people & faces & places where you can roam carefree.
I know it’s not the way you want it to be.

But they’ll be days like this.
So this is how we’re doing it,
as safely as possible.
and I see you.
maybe even more than before.
