Behind every moment of care is someone who chose to show up.

Our volunteers give their time, energy, and compassion in ways that truly shape the experience of patients, families, and our entire community. Whether it’s a small gesture or a larger commitment, every act of kindness makes a difference.

We are truly grateful for all that they do!

A major milestone for Tomorrow’s Hospital.

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, together with Di Poce Management Limited and the Town of Collingwood, has officially completed the transfer of a 54-acre site at Poplar Sideroad and Raglan Street.

This moment brings us one step closer to a new hospital for South Georgian Bay, one that reflects the care, compassion, and dedication our community deserves.

We are deeply grateful to our partners and to everyone who continues to believe in and support this vision.

We are excited to welcome Lee Skovsgaard as our new Philanthropy Officer.

Lee brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to his work, along with a real passion for giving back. With experience in fundraising and community involvement, he truly believes in the power of connection and storytelling to make a difference.

We’re so glad to have him on the team as we continue working toward Tomorrow’s Hospital.

Fun fact: Lee once ran his own charitable clothing line, managing everything from designing to printing.

What an incredible day at Osler Bluff Ski Resort.

On March 14, participants took on the 3rd Annual Osler 42 challenge, climbing the equivalent height of Mount Everest, one lap at a time, without the help of chairlifts. Over the course of 8 hours, they pushed themselves to the limit, all in support of Tomorrow’s Hospital raising $5,702 till now.

A big thank you to the Osler 42 team for organizing such an inspiring event and to everyone who took part.

For John Carswell, CGMH has always been part of his family’s story.

Three generations of Carswells have taken their first breaths within its walls, including John, his mother, and now his grandson. With a long family history of supporting the hospital, John recently chose to remember CGMH with a gift in his will.

This is his way of giving back for the care his family has received over the years, and helping ensure strong healthcare for the generations still to come. Thank you, John, for your generosity and for continuing a legacy of care that will shape the future of South Georgian Bay.

Peter began volunteering at CGMH over a year and half ago. He is one of the many dedicated volunteers helping staff, patients and families at CGMH. Volunteers in the blue vests are here to lend a hand, whether it’s helping you find your way, answering questions, or simply offering a friendly face when it is needed most.

Thank you to Peter and to all of our incredible volunteers who help make every visit to the hospital a little easier.
