Boost your immune system with San Fu-sessions begin next week!

BOOST your Immune system to prevent Winter diseases with a special treatment in the summertime called SanFu Moxa.

From July 15-August 15th, Dr.Renee Taylor is offering San Fu Moxa for her clients as an add on for her Acupuncture clients or as a stand alone treatment option.

San Fu Moxa or celestial moxibustion is a special preventative treatment that can support Immunity and lung health for example, it is a classic treatment for allergic rhinitis, bronchitis, and asthma. This tradition has never been more critical than right now.

Every year, during the “dog days” of summer, there is a tradition of applying an herbal paste on patches to 5-7 points on the back to support immunity in the coming winter. Classically, this treatment repeats 3 times on specific dates at the hottest time of the summer- but we can safely and effectively do it between July 15- August 5th. Even 1 application helps but 3 is ideal.

I use a mixture of ground warming herbs and apply them as a paste to points on the back associated with the lungs.

The herbs can be left on the skin for several hours. In younger children, 20-30 min hours will suffice. We generally don’t use this on anyone under 2 years old. For adults the recommended time is 2 hours (but can be up to 6 for some clients). It’s common to have a red dot that resembles sunburn for a few hours afterward and it is recommended to repeat after approximately 10 days.

San Fu Moxa can be an add on for any acupuncture visit for 15$ or BOOK a SAN FU only spot for 50$ per application.

Most ideal appointment dates would 3 of the following-be July 15, 25, Aug 5 and 15.

Look forward to seeing you during the Dog Days of Summer.
