It’s our birthday! 🎉
On Nov 12, 2019 Coquitlam granted our business license; we soft-opened with just a few patients per day on that day and each day over the next few weeks, swinging into full operation on Dec 6!

To celebrate our 6th birthday, we have presents for you, the people who got us here. We have milk and dark chocolate logos from the fabulous and local Charlie’s Chocolate Factory. Come and get one! 🍫

RATE ANNOUNCEMENT:

TCIT staff have discussed rates in the context of the current economic situation as well as how long it had been since each profession last increased their rates.

We know many people are needing to be budget conscious and so the RMTs, DC (chiropractor), and RCCs have all decided on a RATE FREEZE for at least the first half of 2026. We will reassess in the summer.

We hope to keep the care that we provide for your body and mind *accessible* for as many people in the community as possible.

•47,000,000 women worldwide enter the transition into menopause each year.

•Perimenopause/Menopause has 103 (!)documented symptoms to date.

•More than 70% of women in perimenopause
/menopause have MUSCULOSKELETAL symptoms

•40% of women with musculoskeletal symptoms have imaging results with *no structural findings*, which often leads to a loss of agency.

Kristina, Richard, and Greg have all completed “The Comprehensive Guide to Perimenopause & Menopause for RMTs”, a course that has expanded our understanding — not just of hormones and symptoms, but of how to better support our patients.

We are here to listen, support, validate, and help you take back your agency.

TCIT also has a staff of 4 counsellors, with mental health resources and strategies.

October 18th has been World Menopause Day.

51% of the world’s population is AFAB (Assigned Female At Birth) and will, at some point, enter menopause. 47,000,000 women worldwide enter the transition into menopause each year. More than 70% of them have musculoskeletal symptoms, 40% with *no structural findings*, which often leads to a loss of agency.

Kristina, Richard, and Greg have all been working on a professional development course for RMTs that is expanding our understanding — not just of hormones and symptoms, but of how to better support our patients. We are here to listen, support, and validate.

TCIT also has a staff of 4 counsellors, with mental health resources and strategies.

6 years ago we were at Day 2 of demolition/construction on our big new adventure!

We have a staff of 9, and here are some staff members we’d like you to meet.

•BENITA, our chiropractor, works **until 7:00pm** on Thursdays, so you can get in that after-work or EVENING chiropractic session! Her Tuesday hours are 9:15-2:15.
She works one *SATURDAY* per month, the next one being September 13 from 9:00-2:00.
Benita has been a chiropractor for over 20 years, and splits her time between our practice and one in another city.

This will affect some of our patients as they make their way here for appointments! Make sure you plan ahead, so that you don’t arrive at your appointment late and stressed out.

🚧TRAFFIC ALERT🚧

The City's contractor will be paving Lougheed Highway from Barnet Highway to the CPR overpass, starting on June 26 and will take place over two weekends (Thursday to Saturday), weather permitting. Due to high traffic volumes, work will take place during overnight hours, weekdays between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. and weekends between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Traffic will be impacted and detours will be in effect via Westwood Street or Mariner Way. Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays. Thank you for your patience as this work is completed.
