Want stellar morning poops? Add beans to your smoothie 😂💀

Before you scroll—no, you won’t taste them. The flavor gets totally masked.

Recipe:
½ cup beans + ½ banana + 1 date
Soy milk + chocolate protein
Water to thin + ice (optional)
Blend and done.

This is an easy way to get more fiber + protein in your day—aka the combo that supports digestion and keeps you feeling more steady.

If you try it, tell me: team chocolate or team vanilla?

I recently did a DEXA scan and wanted to share what it actually shows — because it’s more than just one number 🌿

It gives a full picture of your body composition: how much fat mass, muscle mass, and bone mass you have. It also estimates your basal metabolic rate (how many calories your body uses at rest) and looks at your bone density.

Most guidelines suggest starting later, but in practice I often recommend women begin earlier — especially through their 40s or during perimenopause — to understand their baseline and be more proactive with their health.

It’s not about perfection, it’s about information you can actually use.

If you’ve been curious about getting a DEXA scan, feel free to reach out 🌱

If you’ve been curious about bitters and how to actually use them, this workshop is for you 🌿

On May 31, we’ll be diving into bitters and liver health — what they are, why they matter, and how to make your own bitters formula in a way that feels practical and approachable.

I love teaching this kind of medicine because it helps bring herbal knowledge back into everyday life.

This time we found cleavers — also known as Galium aparine — growing right in the neighborhood.

Cleavers is one of those beautiful spring herbs that often gets overlooked, but it has so much to offer. It’s especially known as a lymphatic herb, meaning it helps support the movement of the lymphatic system, which plays an important role in clearing waste from the body.
It’s also traditionally used to support kidney health and healthy kidney function.

One of the things I love most is how simple it can be to work with. Cleavers can be used as a fresh juice, tea, or tincture, depending on what feels best for you.
Nature really does give us so much support — sometimes growing quietly right around the corner 💚

A DEXA scan is a really helpful way to get a clearer picture of your bone health before issues come up later on.

As women move through menopause and estrogen starts to decline, bone density can decline too — and that’s something I think deserves more attention. One of the things I love about doing a DEXA scan earlier is that it gives you a baseline, so you actually know where you’re starting from. It can also give useful information about visceral fat, which adds another layer to the conversation.

I’m seeing more women with low bone density than they expect, and often the goal is simply to catch things sooner and support the body well.

If you’ve been curious about getting a DEXA scan, you’re welcome to book a call with me 🌿

Fibre can be incredibly helpful for constipation and bowel regularity — but only if you pair it with enough water 💧

Psyllium husk works by absorbing water and forming a soft gel-like texture that helps move things through more smoothly. Without enough hydration, though, it can do the opposite and leave you feeling even more backed up.

So yes, fibre matters — but fibre + water is the real team 🌿

Have you ever tried bitters… the kind your body actually recognizes?

Not the ones in your Negroni or Aperol spritz — I’m talking about digestive bitters.

Your tongue is lined with bitter receptors, and when they’re activated, it sends a signal downstream to wake up digestion. Saliva, stomach acid, bile… the whole digestive cascade starts to flow.

It’s simple, but incredibly powerful.

If you’ve been wanting to support your digestion (and your liver) in a more intentional way, I’m hosting an in-person workshop on May 31st where we’ll dive into all of it.

You’ll create your own custom bitters formula and leave with a liver-supportive tea to carry you through the season.

Come make medicine with me 🌿

Perimenopause often enters the conversation through humor — because sometimes it’s the only way to talk about how confusing these changes can feel.

Behind the jokes, there’s something important: many women experience real symptoms for years before anyone connects the dots. Mood shifts, sleep changes, brain fog, cycle changes, and that feeling of “not quite being yourself” are all experiences I hear about often in clinic.

Hormonal transitions don’t always show up clearly on lab work, and they don’t follow a strict timeline. Listening to symptoms, asking questions, and creating space for education is just as important as any test.

My hope is that conversations like this help normalize what many women are going through — and encourage more informed, compassionate discussions around hormonal health.

Humor can open the door, but understanding is what helps us move forward. 🌿

Welcome to Herb Walk 🌿🌱☘️ a little space where we look at the medicinal plants growing around us in everyday life.

Today’s herb is 🌿rosemary🌿. Most people think of it for cooking, but it’s also such a lovely plant for the brain. I often think of rosemary when it comes to brain fog, focus, and overall cognitive support.

I love that something so common can also be so supportive.

What herb should we talk about on the next Herb Walk? 🌱

Most people think allergies are just sneezing and itchy eyes 🌿

But I often see other symptoms that don’t immediately get linked back to allergies — like waking up feeling unrefreshed, brain fog that won’t lift, sinus-type headaches, or even itchy skin.

When your immune system is activated for weeks at a time, it can affect more than just your nose!

If this sounds familiar, it might be worth looking at your allergies a little more closely. Your body may be asking for support in ways that aren’t so obvious.
