Supporting vaginal tissue during menopause doesn’t have to be complicated.

This is one of the most gentle, targeted ways to help restore comfort, resilience, and overall pelvic health. When the tissue is properly supported, many women notice meaningful improvements in their day-to-day wellbeing 🌿

Your body deserves care that’s both effective and respectful of its natural physiology.

Different bodies require different approaches — and that includes speculum size.

There isn’t one standard that works for everyone. Part of my role is to choose what feels most appropriate for your anatomy and ensure the exam is as comfortable and respectful as possible 🌿

Cervical screening is evolving, and there’s more than one way to stay on top of your prevention.

Each screening method gives different information, and together they help ensure your cervical health is fully supported. This isn’t about choosing one over the other — it’s about making sure nothing is missed.

For more information about cervical cancer screening, please visit BC Cancer Screening.

I offer trauma-informed exams in clinic, where your comfort, consent, and pace always come first 🌿

Perimenopause can change how your body feels in ways that aren’t always talked about and many women are left wondering if what they’re experiencing is “normal.”

If something feels off, uncomfortable, or different, your body is asking for support. These changes are often connected to natural hormonal shifts, and there are gentle, effective ways to help restore comfort and tissue health 🌿

You deserve to feel at ease in your body, not just now, but long term. These conversations matter, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Your heart does so much for you, physically and emotionally. Valentine’s Day is a beautiful reminder to care for both ♥️🌿

Herbs like hawthorn, hibiscus, and cacao have long been used to support circulation, nourish the cardiovascular system, and gently uplift mood. They work subtly, over time, helping the body find balance and resilience.

Sometimes supporting your heart looks like slowing down, sipping tea, or allowing yourself moments of joy. These small rituals matter more than we think.

A gentle reminder today: caring for your heart isn’t just symbolic — it’s physiological too ♥️

Hi, I’m Dr. Alex 👋 and I care deeply about helping women feel at home in their bodies again 🌿

My path into naturopathic medicine started through my own experience of learning how the body heals, adapts, and communicates when we actually listen. That perspective shaped how I practice today: not pushing symptoms away, but understanding what they’re trying to say.

Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of women navigating hormonal changes, midlife transitions, and prevention. What I’ve learned most is this: when women understand their bodies, everything shifts. Decisions feel clearer. Health feels less confusing. And trust begins to rebuild 🤍

This space is here to share knowledge, tools, and perspective, so you can move through each phase of life feeling informed, supported, and steady 🌱

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here 🍃

We live in a world that glorifies hustle—produce more, create more, do more. But what about resting more?

Your body isn’t built to run on empty. Without deep, consistent sleep, your hormones can’t do their job. And when your hormones are off, everything feels harder.

This week in the Women’s Health Newsletter, I’m breaking down exactly why sleep is your free hormone therapy—and how to get more of it.

💬 Comment SLEEP below to be added to the newsletter so you don’t miss future women’s health secrets.

Do you feel like you’re getting enough sleep right now? Or is it the first thing you sacrifice?

Comment "QUIZ" and I'll send you Your Hormone Inventory Quiz!!

I created this for all the women I see day-in, day-out, asking about their hormones, their cortisol, insulin and what is going on with their cycle.

It can be frustrating to live in a body that doesn't feel like a home. You should feel good in your own skin, and oftentimes hormones can be the culprit needing to be balanced.

Start with this quiz, so you can see your baseline and move into action. There's a quiz for you if you are cycling, in perimenopause, menopause or curious about metabolic health.

Send this to a friend who needs some hormonal help!
