This is always the first question. Many people have not heard about Reiki yet while others know something about it, but they are not quite sure what it really means. The founder of the modern Reiki was Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s. To put it simply, Reiki is a system of healing that is both uncomplicated and powerful. It is not intended to take the place of standard medical treatments, however Reiki complement and support this care, to harmonize body, mind and spirit.
Now, dear readers, allow yourselves to immerse in the energies of this healing journey with each word, as if you were walking the paths of Mount Kurama alongside Mikao Usui.
On a starry night, Mikao, a scholar and spiritual seeker, decided to embark on a journey that would not only change his life but also the destiny of thousands. Venturing alone into the mysteries of Mount Kurama, he surrendered to the secrets of the mountain, where silence whispered ancient energies.
For 21 days, Mikao immersed himself in rigorous meditation and austerity, not in search of divine charms but rather in pursuit of something deeper. It was during this retreat, amidst the shadows of the night and the whispers of the trees, that something extraordinary happened.
It wasn't a lightning bolt or thunder; it was a subtle perception, a cosmic symphony that resonated in his soul. An inner source of energy, later named Reiki, revealed itself in the silent layers of the mountain.
Upon returning, Mikao, now transformed, applied this practical discovery, developing what we now know as Reiki. His intention was simple: to share this healing not as a distant master but as a close friend, offering healing touches that resonate to this day.
Reiki, like the plot of a story, evolved over time, literally touching hearts and minds. Each healing touch carries the vibrations of Mount Kurama, Mikao's personal discoveries, and the promise of balance and well-being.
