A little backstory ♥️
In Aug of 2017 I lost my best friend, my Mom 😇
Through all the grief brought incredible stress and I wasn’t able to cope very well. I have chronic illness and autoimmune disease that had my skin on fire 🔥. As my autoimmune disease flared my face was blotchy, red and sore to anything I put on it! I distracted myself looking up natural remedies that could ease my skin symptoms. I decided I would try making my own soap, but in no way did I want to make my situation worse by using a cold press method. I’m not a scientist and one bit too much of something could defeat my purpose to heal. I decided to make it SIMPLE and NATURAL by choosing a melt and pour base that would have all the right mixing already done for me! I got to work and chose lemongrass essential oil as my scent to begin with because of its fresh scent and beneficial skin properties. First off… it changed EVERYTHING with my skin and I’ve never looked back. It propelled me to expand with new scents and techniques to make them pretty. At the end of the day my soap is utilitarian and all about nourishing and healing rather than being pretty and it turned out it gave me an outlet to work through my grief!
It was a win win!
As everything I now make in my skin and pain relief creations, everything starts with my own needs first and how I ended up using the term ME TIME.
