BCAK's long term, hard-working, talented (and we could say so much more) Executive Director is stepping back. He will be difficult to replace - if you're up to the challenge, check out this post (note the job posting closes on March 7th):

The Canadian Geriatrics Society Conference was a success - for BCAK, AKA, CKA and for all the attendees. The organizers were happy that we got them moving, while also learning exercises to help patients. We made connections and received invitations to participate in other medical conferences.

Our booth was very well visited and participants loved the interaction at the booth (the balance pod challenge was a hit🔥).

BCAK is proud to attend the Canadian Geriatrics Society Annual Scientific Meeting.

Say 'hi' to BCAK Board Members, Anna and Minda in their bright orange shirts and learn more about how kinesiologists can help you move better and prevent injury.

This week the CKA as well as the BCAK and AKA are attending the Canadian Geriatrics Society Canadian Geriatrics Society Annual Scientific Meeting to bring awareness of the importance of kinesiologists to geriatricians and other medical professions.

The Public Health Agency of Canada has determined the falls are the leading cause of injury and hospitalizations in people over the age of 65, and hip fractures are mostly caused by falling. Kinesiologists can be a key part of helping people prevent falls and fractures.

Kinesiologists are healthcare professionals that use evidence-based research to treat and prevent injury and disease, and to improve movement and performance.

They will at the Meet and Greet today, and you can find them in bright orange shirts all conference-long.

Catch them tomorrow at the 1 PM Active Break where they'll introduce a case study of a successful client, go through some exercises, and show how you can find a kinesiologist anywhere in Canada.
