Happy Grandparents Day! Grandparents are the footsteps to future generations.
The holiday, which was first recognized in Canada in 1995, is a day to celebrate our parent's parents.
For the grandparents living at Burquitlam Lions Care Centre take this day as a opportunity to celebrate with them. A chance for families to spend precious, quality time together. Show them how important they are! Tell them they matter and show how much you care! Your grandma & grandpa would appreciate the thoughtful gesture!
Here are some fun ways to celebrate Grandparents Day.

1. Treat them to a special treat maybe from a family recipe
passed down through generations.
2. Spend some time learning about your grandparents' lives.
Learn about their past.
3. Work on a family tree together.
5. Ask them to teach you something new & vice versa.
6. Give a gift, make a card, pick some flowers, anything!
