Ian showed up last year ready to rebuild—and never missed a beat. Day after day, he put in the work.

🏔️ Strength for trail running isn’t optional
If you’re spending time on trails, your body has to handle more than just miles.
Uneven ground.
Single-leg loading.
Rotation.
Fatigue over time.
That’s where most people start to break down.

This assessment looks at how prepared you actually are for those demands:
💪 Hip + core control
⚖️ Lateral strength and stability
🦵 Single-leg capacity
⚡ Lower leg stiffness and elasticity
Using movement testing and objective strength data, we can see where you’re solid—and where you’re going to run into trouble.

This is a good fit if you:
🏃‍♂️ Run trails regularly
🔄 Are heading into a new season
⚖️ Feel decent overall but not as consistent on terrain
🦵 Deal with fatigue or recurring aches

This isn’t just a one-off session.

We’re excited to introduce our second speaker for the Zwitchback Mountain Bike Sessions—Karen Decker 🔥🚵‍♀️

Karen is a long‑time mountain biker in our local community and has been a major force in the growth of women’s mountain biking both locally and provincially. She’s a mountain bike instructor and runs GRIT709, a mountain bike company focused on skill development, confidence, and progression on the trails.

At this session, Karen will share her perspective on:
✨ The continued growth of women in mountain biking
✨ Empowerment through riding and skill development
✨ Trends she’s seeing in the MTB space
✨ What it takes to build confidence and community on the bike

We’re stoked to welcome Billy Newell as a guest speaker at our upcoming Zwitchback Mountain Bike Session!

🤘Billy, along with Peter Ollerhead, took on the BC Bike Race during the 2025 season, and now Billy is back at it—training hard for Round Two in 2026. 💪🔥With the race happening in late May (a little earlier this year!), Billy’s been pushing through our long, wintry season ❄️🚴‍♂️ with race day just weeks away.
