Fall into Wellness:🍁🏃‍♂️👣
Footcare tips to keep in mind this season!!👣👣
✅Moisturize daily- Apply a foot cream but avoid in between your toe’s. For dry cracked skin try a cream with urea in it.
✅Trim toenails properly- Cut all nails straight across to prevent ingrown toenails and avoid cutting them too short.
✅Check for problems regularly- Inspect your feet for any cuts, blisters or signs of infection. Pay particular attention to changes in color and texture of the skin. Don’t ignore any new or worsening pains. The earlier the problem is diagnosed the better the treatment is achieved.
✅Protect your feet- Wear sandals in public showers and pools to prevent picking up any infections or viruses.
✅Stay active- Regular physical activity improves circulation and blood flow to the feet. Simple strengthening exercises like drawing the alphabet with your big toe like a pencil can help blood flow and ankle stability.
✅Choose the right shoe- You only have one set of feet , so make sure they are in the right shoe. Choose a shoe that has the right features for your foot . Avoid high heels or narrow shoes that cause discomfort or injury. You should always have a thumbs width of room from the longest toe to the end of the shoe. When in doubt ask your footcare specialist for help!!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

BREAKING: The province is declaring a regional state of emergency on the Bay de Verde Peninsula north of Bristol's Hope and Whiteway.

The Honourable Dr. John Haggie, Minister of Justice and Public Safety, has declared a regional state of emergency for the entire Bay de Verde Peninsula due to out-of-control wildfires.

As part of this declaration, the Provincial Government continues to work with emergency management partners and others to address the ongoing wildfires throughout the province.

It is important to note, this is NOT a full region evacuation, but all residents are asked to be prepared to evacuate their community on short notice.
